Breonna Taylor should have turned 27 on June 5, 2020. Instead of having a party with her friends and loved ones, her birthday was marked by people demanding justice.

Liz Evey is a remarkable artist living in Asheville, North Carolina and also the daughter of my cousin’s Rick & Sally Evey. Liz wanted to do something to support Breonna’s family, create a gift in remembrance of Breonna’s birthday and was looking for a way of supporting the call for “Justice for Breonna”.

So Liz has created this beautiful portrait of Breonna. The idea is pretty simple. For those willing to contribute $15.00 to “Justice for Breonna”, Breonna’s family 'gofundme' fundraiser, she will then mail you a print of her “Justice for Breonna” portrait. The print size is 5X7 and printed on classic linen card stock. This current print addition will be limited to 250 prints. If demand becomes greater than 250, then we’ll need to figure out if and how to proceed.

So how to get Liz’s “Justice for Breonna” print:

  I. Make a $15 donation to Breonna’s family ‘Justice for Breonna Taylor’ family gofundme    fundraiser (https://www.gofundme.com/f/9v4q2-justice-for-breonna-taylor)

  2. Take a screenshot of your completed donation receipt

  3. email us your mailing address, with attached ‘gofundme’ donate receipt screenshot to ... printsforjustice@gmail.com

  4. Then the “Justice for Breonna” print will be mailed to you with in a few weeks :-)

Lastly, I have included a couple of photographs of a mural Lizzy just completed a few days ago of Maya Angelou in Asheville, North Carolina where she lives.

Thank You and may Breonna Rest In Peace.

  Steve
